1. Paper Plate Masks
And to begin with we will do something light and playful… Paper plate masks….. They are super simple to make and kids can even pretend they have turned into an animal or character. You just need a paper plate, paint or markers and scissors for it. Let your child draw the character onto their plate and colour it in as well, also cut out two little holes for eyes. String or stick, and you have yourself a good time on your hands!

How to Make:
Sketch and color the eyes, nose, lips and chin on a paper plate.
Cut out eye holes.
Apply a piece of string or stick to hold the mask.

2. Paper Chain Caterpillar
Here is a simple craft that taught my son some patterning and counting skills through the making of our paper chain caterpillar. There are links in the chain for each segment of a caterpillar’s body.
What You’ll Need:
Colored construction paper
Scissors
Glue or tape
Googly eyes (optional)
How to Make:
Slice the paper approximately 1 inch wide.
Take one strip and glue/tape to create a loop.
Weave the next strip into that loop, and get another.
Repeat until your caterpillar is the length you desire.
Create the first loop along with a face and google eyes

Fold the square paper diagonally in half.
Fold the corners up to towards center.
